What does “Free Range” mean?

Turkeys have unlimited access to the fields outdoors and have access to forage. Their feed is prepared and pelleted mainly from our own farm ingredients and does not contain any antibiotics or growth promoters of any kind.

What makes Weeks Christmas Turkeys so flavourful?

Our Award Winning Turkeys are reared to the highest welfare standards. They are slowly brought to maturity as nature intended, being fed on a Cereal and Pulse Ration. In December our Free Range Bronze Turkeys are hand plucked then hung in a chilled store for at least seven days before being prepared for the table. This produces the tender flavoursome meat that is the hallmark of turkeys coming from Laylands Farm.

Are Weeks Christmas Turkeys antibiotic free?

Yes, absolutely.

Are your birds outside?

Yes. Come and see them for yourself, running around the paddock at the front of the farm – At the top of Brock Hill from Sudbury Road or from the Laylands Farm driveway.
